Play and Learn at Louisiana Children's Museum

At the Louisiana Children's Museum you can explore and experience 30,000 square feet of hands-on fun, engaging exhibits and exciting programs - all designed with curious kids (and grown up) in  mind.

Pilot a towboat down the Mighty Mississippi. Shop until you drop in a pint-size grocery store. Dine in a five-star, role-play café. Ride a bike with Mr. Bones. Lift 500 pounds. Hoist yourself up a wall. Trap your shadow. Stand inside a gigantic bubble. Create a masterful work of art and much more! Even little ones have a special space to climb, crawl, hide and explore. Learning has never been more fun!

During the summer you can enroll your children in one of the numerous camps offered. From theatre to cooking to magic these camps are structured but always fun!

And if you have a budding artist there are art programs where creativity can grow. Techniques taught include sculpture, painting, drawing, collage and more. Teachers will also introduce a curriculum that focuses on the history, aesthetics, production and appreciation of art.

Your Vote Counts!

7/14 thru 8/1

As the 2008 Presidential Election kicks off, LCM wants local kids to join in the fun and feel the importance of having their voices heard. We want to know where kids stand on issues like nutrition, exercise, free time, television and fun - to help us mold the future of the kid nation at LCM. Voting will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and visitors can cast their ballot in one of Louisiana's real-life voting booths. Encourage your child's patriotism with this first try at democracy in action.

*ADULT VOTER REGISTRATION

July 14-16, adults 18 and older can register to vote here at LCM.
